Aaron Everitt
I am a child of the West. I was born in the mountains breathing in its cool air and have waded in its wild waters to find comfort in the dynamic adventure of life. I have been defined by others in my life by the things I do - Parent, Husband, Entrepreneur, Musician, Friend. Each moniker falling short of the full description of who I am. I have found redemption in faith, and reprieve from hardship in rushing waters with a fly rod in hand. I have an insatiable creativity inside that keeps me restless and striving. At different times a career or a task has satiated the angst, but in general I have learned to live with the stirring. I have had an adventurous life. I grew up in Wyoming learning about open skies and dark forests. I have raced down the side of a snowy mountain in Colorado as I grew older and found immeasurable comfort with a fly rod in hand and a fish on the other end of a line.
I went to college in Alberta, Canada and met the friends that would define my life. After realizing a love and talent for music I set out to try my hand at being in a band and building up an independent record label. I travelled around the world with a guitar in hand, crafting music for others and seeing places I never dreamed possible because of those 6 strings. I had the chance to stand in the Sea of Galilee and usher believers into the presence of the One they claim to know. I saw the sunflowers of Italy follow the sun across the horizon and each moment was recorded like names in an abstract; showing the history of what makes a man.
I married my love, an Alberta rose from the prairies. We have crafted a life among the mountains - four boys to our names. We love adventure and the call of what is around the corner. Each adventure is a lesson, like art is created by trial, the trials of living create art - with each lesson hardening the ethos of what makes our souls congeal together. I believe and hope that I am midway through the breathing of this adventure. If the next half is as good, it will have been a full life.
I have endeavored in Real Estate for most of my career. Learning the art of land planning from our family development company. I soon took on the role of architectural and interior designer and chief operations officer of Jamestown Builders. We crafted over 350 houses that remain some of the most unique and sought after homes in Northern Colorado. I helped invent and create Everitt & Schilling tile, a manufacturer or barn wood and upcycled wood tile that was sold all over the country. That adventure led to Nature Dens, an innovative concept of concierge camping services with rentable Airbnb style trailers. My business partner and I pivoted from that in late 2019 to open and operate two Amazon DSP’s where we employ over 200 people at two different stations in Colorado. I primarily focus on real estate sales and problem solving in Colorado and Wyoming, but never allow my entrepreneurial desires to remain dormant for too long. I am active in content creation for causes I believe in, ranging from politics to medicine. Some describe this current iteration of my work as my public intellectual phase.
I believe that life is filled with the opportunity to say yes, especially to things that I don’t know how to do. Each new “yes” is a chance to learn and think and expand my rolodex of understanding and skills. I tell people that my life’s motto is to always remain curious.
