Steven joins LoCo Think Tank having recently sold his northern Colorado-based environmental services company. Steven acquired the company in 2008 following the challenging and rewarding process of identifying prospective companies, raising capital, negotiating contracts, and finally closing the transaction to purchase the company. The company’s growth and financial success was achieved by providing an urgent, consistent focus on customer service, diligent cash flow management, and efficient operating practices.
Prior to business ownership, Steven held engineering, operations, and product marketing roles at Sara Lee Corporation, program management at a sports marketing agency serving clients investing in professional auto racing, and general management of the residential business at Reliant Energy.
Steven and his wife Diana are originally from New Mexico and have lived in Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia before making Colorado their permanent home in 2005. They have one daughter who attends the University of Iowa. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, boating, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Steven earned a B.S. Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Duke University.
About the Thinkers Chapter
Designed for the owners of stage II companies, generally between 5 and 25 employees and between $500,000 and $5,000,000 in gross revenues.
LoCo Think Tank brings together non-competitive business owners from different industries, to identify and explore solutions to business challenges. Each chapter is professionally facilitated by a successful business veteran.
Our facilitators are driven by the purpose and impact of the role and focused on maximizing the experience of members. The facilitator manages communications leading up to and following each meeting, maintains order during the meetings, and meets one-on-one, or in small groups, with members in between chapter meetings.
